Lovely lunch spot. Food was amazing!! Hubby had sand dabs and I had the crab enchiladas. Both were perfect! The dining patio is the best I've ever been to. All tables are divided by plants so you feel like you're in a tropical paradise! We will definitely come back!

How haute it is. After too many years away, we stopped at the Haute Enchilada for lunch. What a treat it was. The food is absolutely delicious and the venue is very relaxing. Our reservation was for noon, that's when they open and walk-ins were told they'd be seated at 1:30, so make a rez. We were ushered into the rear where we were seated under an umbrella in a green glade-like setting. It was very private feeling, but the staff was perfectly attentive. It was overcast as Moss Landing commonly is, so make sure you're prepared for the weather. Though there are propane heaters available. My wife ordered the Enchiladas Huitlacoche topped with a cilantro-citrus crema which were accompanied by a small bowl of rice and black beans. The beautifully plated enchiladas contained shrimp that were perfectly cooked and accented by the huitlacoche, the Mexican truffle. The rice and beans were a nice light accompaniment. For me, anytime I see squash blossoms on the menu, I go for it. My order of Tacos con Flores de Calabaza consisted of 4 deep fried taquitos tied together on the plate accompanied by 3 salsas. An avocado crema, not guacamole, a pureed black bean dip and a chile crema with just a little heat. The tortillas used for the tacos were so light and everything came together perfectly. Hats off to Kim and the crew for providing a top flight experience that would make her father Ray very proud. And could challenge Bobby Flay.

The food was outstanding, although the portions were small and the prices were very high. It's worth visiting, though, because it has an amazing art gallery adjacent to the back patio. That patio provides very nice atmosphere. The wait staffers were great, btw.

This nifty little place is a regular for us, especially when we have family or friends visiting. The garden seating is charming, and the food is extraordinary, with an emphasis on the unique. There are multiple Mexican standouts on the menu--each a clever twist on the usual--and also fantastic sand dabs and salads and plenty of other options. Everything is super fresh and high-quality. Not cheap, but so worth it.

What a beautiful place to have lunch! The outdoor garden seating was so relaxing, and our cocktails were great. Service was very friendly from beginning to end. The food was just amazing. I had the sand dabs, and they were just delicious. My husband had the special of crab enchiladas with lobster sauce, and he said he was tempted to lick the plate. Can't wait to visit again.

We happened upon this cute little restaurant on our way home from kayaking at Elkhorn Slough. We weren't sure what to expect but WOW. Everything was just absolutely delicious! The espresso martini was so good, towards the end I started taking smaller and smaller sips because I didn't want it to end! The hint of orange was a nice addition to the flavor. If you enjoy espresso martinis, it is a must-order. The special of the day was pork belly tacos and I am so glad I changed my order at the last minute from a salad to the special pork belly tacos. The pork belly was cooked perfectly with crispy charred ends and soft creamy insides. The food tastes homemade and you can tell it's made and plated with care. At one point, we were brought samples of a carrot & corn chowder soup and our 5 year old liked it so much that he ordered a bowl and finished the entire thing, drinking it to the bottom. This is very rare for him! All in all our experience was wonderful and the food exceeded all expectations. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area! I wish I could have brought one of those espresso martinis to go it was so darn good.

The food was good, smaller sized portions and pricey. The queso was good, served with little corn tortillas. Drinks were good, we had one round and they didn't ask if we wanted more. Scallops were served in seashells with rice, beans and mini corn tortillas in the side. Husband had the paella which came with bread. He said it was really good. We sat outside and ate, it was pretty with all the plants. Employees were very friendly. We love the camera of the owl house.
